What a crazy few days on the job! There we were: TrainUp.com and our partners at Training Orchestra exhibiting together at the National Speakers Association- Influence 2017 show!
This is the place where speakers, trainers, coaches, and all around fascinating personalities come together to learn from each other. 1,400 is the typical number of attendees for this event. Attendees consist of speakers, coaches, trainers, authors, and consultants. This year the event was held right in the middle of Walt Disney World from July 8th to July 11th. Yes, there we were, at a booth smack in the middle of the Atlantic Hall, inside the conference center of the Swan and Dolphin resort on Disney Property… WOW!
During the 4 days we were at the show we were given the opportunity to meet some wonderful trainers and training companies. It was great to meet them face to face at our booth and make exciting new connections. We also had the privilege of listening to the inspirational keynote speakers. Their art of storytelling and connection with the audience was captivating.
Emmanuel Kelly taught us to love ourselves despite our struggles, Yassmin Abdel-Magied SHOWED us reasons to look past our biases, and Derreck Kayongo of the Global Soap Project told his story of life as a refugee. He taught us the most beautiful song in Swahili! We laughed out loud with Vinh Giang in his session about Mindset, and learned the value of trust from David Horsager, all while being dazzled by storytelling from Kindra Hall.
Although not all of the speakers are named in this article, they were all fascinating. I learned so much and felt so lucky to be part of the lessons they shared. There were magic tricks, stories, and jokes galore. With every speaker that stood on that stage, I felt more enriched due to their positive outlooks and knowledge.
After 4 exhausting days in and out of the breakout sessions, learning, and connecting with people at our booth, I’m excited to use what I learned. It was a wonderful opportunity for the TrainUp.com and Training Orchestra team.

To all the trainers and entrepreneurs who came to our booth to say hello, thank you for doing so. It was insightful to learn about what drives each of you. It was also great discover how TrainUp and Training Orchestra can be of service to each of you! There was so much useful information at NSA Influence 2017! I went to several marketing sessions, and learned from the pros: Shep Hyken, CSP, CPAE, and Cindy Hyken, Maribeth Kuzmeski, PhD, CSP, Sylvie di Giusto, and Patrick Allmond. Thank you all for braving the brutally cold air conditioning and coffee shortage to extend your knowledge to people like me!
NSA Influence was a fun and educational event. I’m so appreciative of everyone who came to the TrainUp/Training Orchestra booth to talk with us! I enjoyed speaking with trainers and subject matter experts, and sharing ways we can connect them to opportunities. It was also a great to show them solutions to manage their resources to create a foundation for growth. Great relationships are forged at events like this, and in the heart of Walt Disney World, it really was a magical experience!
